These are my disorganized notes regarding the Einscan HX software. Black and dark surfaces require the laser. Scanning at 0.1mm creates too many points, just use 0.5mm. Einscan calls a scan a "project". Scans (projects) are grouped together in Project Groups. When scanning even a small part, expect to do several scans. In other words, create several projects then align the projects before generating the mesh. The workflow with the software is something like this: * assemble the hardware. * calibrate the scanner * select laser or rapid (optical) * create a project group * repeat these steps until the object is completed scanned: - create a project (the first project is created automatically) - do the scanning. - trim the scan using the editing tools - save the trims - generate a pointcloud for this scan
